'02 Eddie Bauer Explorer setup

Hey everyone,

I'm looking into replacing the factory premium sound system in my Explorer, which isn't very premium in my opinion. It has a 6 disk changer, 6 speakers, and factory sub. I listen to all ranges of music from rock to yes I admit, even symphony every once and awhile and like it somewhat loud. I am looking for a receiver that plays WMA/MP3 and has an external hookup so that I can also plug in a cassette player to listen to tapes for my job while on the road.

Can I get some opinions on what I've researched and am thinking of buying? Any recommendations. Good - Bad? Price is somewhat of a concern. Will I need a separate amp with this system or will the receiver be sufficient enough? I'm a novice trying to learn as you can tell by my questions and basic system that I'm looking at purchasing. Thanks in advance.

all 6 speakers: Infinity Kappa 572.5cf 5x7 2-way speakers

(COULD USE MORE ADVICE ON SPEAKERS)

Infinity Basslink 10" 200 watt powered sub

Ok, first of all...you can get much better for the money. Answer three questions... What's your budget? What's the goal of the setup? (SQ or SPL, SQ=sound quality and SPL= sound pressure level or loudness) and Will you be installing yourself? (if you say no, we're going to convince you to do it urself...saves A LOT of money...therefore you can get better equipment. Don't worry, we can walk you through anything step by step)

So when ya answers those questions, you'll get a lot of answers. peace
