Chevy did that with 7..... with only 50 less ft lbs of torque..

The Viper engine was developed in the 80s ... 450 hp in 1989 was pretty **** good, regardless if it was 8 liters ... In 2001 (???), they upped the displacement to 8.3 liters and retuned it to make another 50 ponies ...
You're talking about an engine that makes 500 hp based on 1980s technology ... I wouldn't say that's a piece of shit ... just outdated ...

they can make it off the same block they use for the trucks... keeps costs down

as to the SRT-4 im not sure i would call it a piece of shit... it does what its told reliably... as long as you dont like good handling which i personaly dont get people that think the only measure of speed is in a straight line. when actually the most skill intensive and most fun can be had in the corners... end /rant

It gets 10's because the traction sucks. Same reason why 1000hp supras get nowhere.
