0.6 Cu. Ft. too small for two 8 in subs?

Hello all!

I am new to the forum and thought I would join in on the fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif .

I am installing a system into my 1997 240SX SE and the box that I have built is small enough to fit on the shelf right above the gas tank. It will be right up against the back fold down rear seats with the sub firing into the trunk.

The box is currently 0.6 cu. ft. internal volume and the sub that I have now is a 8 in. Rockford fosgate HX2 series DVC 4 ohms. The volume this sub specifies is anywhere from 0.3 to 0.5 cu. ft. I have not cut an opening into my enclosure yet which is why I am asking you all for your expertise before I make a mistake.

But I have been reading a lot about the image dynamics and if I were to go that route I would like to get 2 of these subs. Problem is, the image dynamics require anywhere from 0.25 to 0.45 cu. ft. Will the two ID subs be too much for the internal volume of my current enclosure? How much more output will I gain If I use two instead of one sub? What kind of Q factor am I looking at if I do try to squeeze two subs into this enclosure?

Thank you all for you time and input! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif
