I think I've tweaked the crossovers right (barring the DB changes, need to lower them a bit yet as it's too harsh). Any good posts on what to use for deadening?

I fixed the bass issue, it was a stupid mistake on my part haha. We adjusted the gain today, and it's improved a good amount, but I still believe it should be better. I'm going to rewire it with either 12 or 14 ga, we'll see how much that does to improve it.

If I can figure out the boot on the door we'll probably just end up running 12ga in case I ever decide to get more powerful speakers. Don't suppose anyones managed to get it off on the 05-08 series Mustangs? I'm also noticing another issue where the passenger side speaker has some seriously...

I'm concerned that the deck is going to be a killer since it's only got 2v pre-out, no xover settings, no eq settings... I'm really disappointed in Alpine, they used to be really nice.

Ya I believe the factory wire is 18ga. We were running 14ga from it. The filter is set to high pass and I dropped the frequency on the crossover down to what you recommend. It sounds better. To adjust the db the only way that I know of is to adjust the chip in the xovers (it can be 0, -1.5, -3...

To give you an idea of the problem, my friends Pioneer Rev coaxial's with no amp sound louder and better quality. How big of an issue do you think the wiring is? It's a huge pain in the ass to try and run it through the gutters on the door.
