That is a mini-me for sure. 12 watts. funny. Didn't know about that model... Don't see many of these PPI's around. New in box PAR 224 and PPI-70. The PPI-70 I think qualifies for old-school.

My favorite of the RF series is the black and white 1st gen, and the Fosgate (pre-Rockford) . Like the 2nd series, but the 3rd (HD series) went to the non handmade boards. That is when I stopped being an RF fan. Love the old stuff though.

I know these Red 1'st gen's well. These are real power hogs with an unregulated power supply. LOVE to burn up at low voltage. If you are going to stress this amp by cranking it up loudly, you will need to stock up on 2n6488 and 2n6491 (Transistors) ... Great amp, but very unreliable. Being 20...

The VLX's look great hanging on the wall. (or laid out on a table) . Unless you have a van, SUV, or something big and wide, they are hard to use because of the length of them.

No on the Savard. They were hot in 93. Kinda faded away after that. (Dallas area) We sold them back then. I do have some early Boston Acoustic (late 80's) that I plan on putting in the Honda 34" sub project. Some Pioneer TSX-7 and TSX-8 speakers (early 80's)... A case of Magnadyne 6x9's...

Have plenty more Petras, but these are the newest finds... Don't forget the M&M's.

Now for real old-school, there is the PR-7000 by Fosgate. (1973, Fosgate's first amp) Still works great. 2nd oldest amp in my stash of classic car audio gear.

It is a Korean amp. One of the better ones. I have a Majestic and Sentrek that almost match it. They have TO3's also. The Coustic 300 is a decent amp to put on a set of BABB 6x9's. That is what we did with them in HS anyway... LP didn't have anything to do with this amp. In the 80's several...
