I agree...all HU's should have RCA inputs. It would be simple to manufacture and great for hooking up ipods, etc.

IMO a ported box is better for rap. If you listen to rap and nothing else, then you should go with a ported box. They require much more space though.

Comps and an external amp are certainly the way to go for SQ.

And how do you suggest we install amps without wires? Notice how the wires are tie-wrapped together? This is a pretty tidy install. I've seen installs that are 100X worse.

Shouldn't be a problem. If you bring it in from the cold, I would wait until the equipment reaches room temp before turning it on though.

My friend has those PC speakers and they're OK. I've never been impressed with PC speakers. I don't think you will get the "thump" you're looking for, but you may like them. My friend thinks they are great, but he wouldn't know SQ if it slapped him in the face!

What sounds better is upto you...It's all a matter of preference. I would go with 2 subs in a sealed box at 150w each.
