I got the hifonics brutus 1601 as my first amp so I know my opinion is biased but I think they are very good amps fir the price.... don't buy hifonics door speakers though.. judist priest they are over rated!

I asked myself the same thing westman.. I switched some of the channels around to check it and I determined its not a blown up speaker. The way the amp works is- Channel's 1 and 2 work together on the same high pass filter....but channel 2 still plays full range.

The amp is playing only highs out of channel (1) and the other channels are fine. Has anyone had this happen to them?? I'm going to open it up to see if I can see anything..
