    s10 extended

Ya the truck is extended cab, in the back it only has about ohh i dunno maybe like 30 inches or somethin like that, its big enough to put a person in, it has to seats on either side that fold out. I was messing around with a 200 watt sub, and i hooked it up to the stereo, and it had incredible...

Friends Jensen install look no joke

So you guys are saying my amp ought to go? I'm considering by a second amp, maybe another 500 watt (different brand though), just to boost the power. Or would I be better off selling the amp entirely and buying a 1000watt?

    need HELP adjusting Amp

The gain isn't a volume control... it is supposed to match the output level of your deck. So do this: - Turn the gain all the way counter-clockwise on the amp... or off, basically. - Set your EQ to "Flat" (no bass) on your deck, and turn up the volume until you hear it distort. At this point...

    Better Bass

Definetely a new amp. You're only giving it approximately 100-125 watts RMS, which isn't a lot. I suggest buying a more powerful amp with a new sub that will match it.

Friends Jensen install look no joke

Just a quick question: I was considering getting a 2 12" Jensen's, powered by my Jensen 500watt amp (350RMS). That would be 175RMS to each sub. Now, would this completely Jensen setup bump more than a single Pyle 12" (400RMS, 1000watt max)? My current setup is 350RMS to the Pyle. If so, I'd...

    Comparing RMS ratings...

So a better-known amp with more power would drive my Pyle a lot cleaner? I'm trying to spend the least amount of money... I mean, I can sell my Jensen (although I just got it), and save a bit more for another amp. Maybe. But I got it at a good deal, so...

    Comparing RMS ratings...

I'm pushing a 12 " Pyle, 400RMS, with my Jensen amp, bridged, 350RMS. Cranked right up, is this damaging my sub, and should it be distorting at higher volumes? Should I get different sub with a higher RMS rating, or just keep my system down a bit? Thanks.

    Stereo and Mono

Okay, another question. What's the difference between Stereo and Mono, and how do I choose between the two when wiring up my sub? I heard a lot of people deciding which type to go with, so what does it mean?

    Input/Output

Okay, thanks guys, I appreciate it.

    Input/Output

I already have my RCA's plugged in from my Head Unit to my Amp... what I'm asking is why are there RCA Output's? Do they go directly to the sub, as opposed to wiring it conventionally (standard wire)? Or what are they for? And thanks for the LPF/HPF info.

Protecting your equipment using standard locks

Oh, secondly, and this is really stupid, but how do I know if my deck has a detachable face? I own a Pioneer DEH-1000, and it said nothing about it, so most likely not. Would the regular face of the deck flip down or something? I can remove an outer plastic, which runs just along all sides of...

Protecting your equipment using standard locks

Well, really, the only thing that says "showy" on my car is a "speedoptions" decal, and a set of rims. But, after thinking about it more, I'm not gonna go for the chains. What I was thinking is sealing my trunk using two locks that will lock the back seats from unfolding. That way, the only way...

Protecting your equipment using standard locks

I'm installing my first system. I don't have tinted windows, I don't have an alarm. My car isn't extremely "showy", but I do like to play my music loud... and that will catch people's attention. So, instead of spending big money on an alarm, I was thinking of rigging up a lock system for my...
