Good advice. It is going to go into an instatrunk in a Jeep. So maybe I will fab up a drop mount bracket to mount it from the top and drop it down 5-6" or so and flat mount it from there, leaving all of the floor space as cargo room. That way it will still be horizontal, and out of the rain...

Personally, I prefer Gorilla Glue Duct tape, it works miracles . All I know is that I hooked an alpine 40 w RMS amp to the 6x9's and they sounded like crap. So I personally don't believe that this head unit (18w RMS) should run these speakers. Ideally, what is your rec for the right wattage...
