It is just like that except the vent goes all the way accross the bottom

It is a 1997 Honda civic. the speakes are facing up and the vent is slim going accross the entire bottom of the box facing the rear of the trunk. some notes like in lil jon songs are just missing.

I had someone build me a box for 2 kicker comp vr 15". He put the vent all the way across the bottom with the subs facing up. Is this a good design. The only reason I am asking is because it sounds like all the bass is in the trunk and I dont hear some notes. He said I was tuned to 35hrzs.

which would be louder in a sealed box. The box will be built to fit the speaker. i will be giving them 800watts rms to the pair. Also will ported be better

Here is my problem I can get 2 2005 alpine type R for $220 shipped (ebay). The other option is 1 Avalanche 15" for around $240 or $250. I listen to rap and r and b. They will go in ported box tuned to abou 32hrtz. which would give me the most sql in a sedan?
