Since more people read this section than any other, I figured I would get more responses out of posting my question here. I recently noticed an ad for JVC amps in a magazine. I had no idea JVC even made amps. Do they perform well or are they at least decent like JVC's headunits? Any comments?

What do you guys feel is the best amplifier for under $200?

Not that I know of, but then again I have only heard on of them. Look at a cheaper Pioneer or JVC. I know Pioneer makes a good-value headunit for $99.99, which is sold almost anywhere that carries headunits.

I knoe this doesn't help but I truthfully have only heard one good sounding Sony headunit. Time to upgrade unless you really want to keep it.

One thing I am going to suggest is that you not run rear components and stick with coaxials. Ive heard setups that run both front and rear components and, to me, it seems to decrease the sound quality. That is just my personal opinion, but install what you think sounds best.

Ebay has got some good deals on pairs of woofers. You could find a decent set for around $100. Have you looked at lower end subs like Pioneer that are sold at Walmart?
