David Berger AKA Basebalz13 - Beware Of This Guy - He Will Leave You Hanging

Don't know who you are..and I have no **** dog in this fight. I don't care who's truck is bigger or what not...I have not posted on here in 2 years and the only reason I am is because of David. Here's the truth of the story. Magnets can and WILL be flawed. It happens 1 out of every 1000 or...

    si subs?

Yep. Many people can't see through a brand name... People who argue that a "Lexus" is better than a "Toyota" are nothing but fools that fall into the prestige of a brand... Even though they are the same cars minus the seats and the cute logo on the hood and trunk..built at the same...

    si subs?

If you were to be blindfolded in a room, auditioned both of them, you would never hear the difference between the two. Your ears are not that good. Already had one guy say that before... so we built a pair of subs and the only difference between the two subs was the logo on the dustcap...and...

    si subs?

Don't mean to burst your bubble or anything... But the same guy that designed all the Fi stuff designed and built your beloved v3

My rare subwoofer...I Call her "Elle"

I stand corrected. The monitor I had and was looking on is dark and all you could see was the glare off of the chrome Neat stuff none the less..

My rare subwoofer...I Call her "Elle"

No..not even close. Just a sub with a big bumped back plate..instead of shaving the steel off in a "V" pattern they machined it off square and left material to glue the magnet to...

15'' Avalanche ported or 18'' Avalanche sealed? (Ascendant Audio)

No. I'm saying that he will either kill it thermally. Or mechanically...you forgot everything about DAF. Thermally with 1400 watts due to the korean/chinese amps..bass boost..volume knobs wide open etc. There is no cooling at all inside of that motor. Not to mention how cheap power from the...

15'' Avalanche ported or 18'' Avalanche sealed? (Ascendant Audio)

I'm not making it out to be anything other then this: They were rated at 800 watts. The original surround was softer...just making the guy aware of that who is wanting to buy it is all. What were the juggernauts rated at that used that little coil (9515B's)?...they also did not have a single...

    Split coil Fi? Sexiness!

The WGTi is a single layer edge wound coil... What's this about 'natural cancellation' ?

15'' Avalanche ported or 18'' Avalanche sealed? (Ascendant Audio)

I know the surround was different because I built one last week for a gentleman that has 4 of them in a IB setup in his home...due to that his parameters aren't going to match on all of them nor is it the same as it was intended to be. (More w7ish where the surround does all the work and the...

    Split coil Fi? Sexiness!

5'8 Pat :P..sound like I'm a 6'9 prize fighter that will rip the soul out of any being through the phone lol. In all seriousness there is no issue doing some 'normal' split coil type stuff either...the Alumapro M-16 is still one of my favorite subs of all time ..and it is very practical... The...

    Split coil Fi? Sexiness!

Coil on the right is only 297 grams...and is as long as my arm..inductance is far from an issue...which the WGTi uses a edge wound coil pulling from the pro sound field. Plenty of room for however much excursion one may want...just popped it up to show what else we play with aside from the...

15'' Avalanche ported or 18'' Avalanche sealed? (Ascendant Audio)

As Brian said... Bad idea running that much power. For one the AVA has a different surround compliance that is MUCH floppier then all 'normal' surrounds that you may get... Also it is meant to have 1 soft spider with a very specific coil...and that coil honestly should never get more then 600...
