I have the new 2016 Kicker CVR 12s and I'm trying to make a homemade sub grill (couple of small wooden boards going across the subs screwed into the box). Would I need to make the gap between the wooden boards and subs to specs of how big the XMAX (14mm) would be? What do you guys recommend...
Will putting a sunshade over my subs hurt them when I turn them up from the excursion? The subs are firing towards the ceiling so the shade fits good from the gravity.
I know how to put boxes together, just don't know how to design a box for a specific subwoofer (determining the port tuning, frequency, etc for the box building). Building a ported box for two 12" kicker comp rs.
It's a MRX-110 Alpine amp, it says that it puts out 1100 watts rms at 2 ohms, but the birth sheet says 1200 rms. I'm going to get two 12'' kicker cvr compvr subs, 400 watt RMS each.
What's the point of using a multimeter to tune your amp so your subs don't clip? Because pretty much every song has a different bass volume. I just don't understand.
Here's a alpine amp for around $150, I have a 1100 watt rms one, and it's pretty good. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s_sporting?ie=UTF8&k=500+watt+alpine+amp
As for the speakers in not sure.
If you don't have a aux output on the radio, then you can't listen to your iPhone that way. I guess you could burn music from your iPhone to some CDs and listen to it that way. Your radio looks like it has a opening for CDs.
