    Wiring issues! HELP!!

It's solid black. On the side it says 50V, 100 micro Farads I believe, and Bipolar. Mean anything more?

    Wiring issues! HELP!!

I bought a pair of Infinity Reference 3022cf 3 1/2 inch midrange speakers to replace a couple that had blown on the top of my dash in my Dodge Ram. I opened up the package and it had the speakers, along with 2 resistors I believe. Black cylinder-esque object with wires out of both ends. Anyways...

    Capacitor question of sorts

Wow! How that didn't come up in any of my searches baffles me. Thank you sir, this post of mine is now pointless.

    Capacitor question of sorts

Hola! So, right now I have a JL 500/1 amp running two 10w3's and a Rockford 150/2 watt amp running my three way component set. As it stands right now when I'm driving home from college at night my headlights will dim a few feet on every base hit when the volume is turned up to normal. Not a...

    Amp for component set

Perhaps you think I know more than I do. Zed makes it better ... why?

    Amp for component set

Not real interested in used stuff, just looking for ideas to compare so that I can buy a new one. And I'd like to emphasize quality!

    Amp for component set

I've only worked with a few brands of car audio gear, and Lanzar isn't exactly on my short list. Looking around on here though they seem to be on the budget list, which to me means that the quality isn't up to par per se. Any others? lol I'm looking at some of these: Kenwood KAC-7203...

    Amp for component set

I've got a 3-way MB Quart component set in my 4 door dodge ram and am looking to upgrade my amp that's been powering them for the past 6 months or so. The power specs for the speakers are as follows: I've got a set of 4 inch mid ranges and accompanying tweeters which rely on between 35 - 80...

Alright, I think I know what I'm going to do ..

Currently I have a Dodge Ram Quad Cab with a box I got off ebay, which was a bad move, which is holding 2 JL 10w3-D6's. I have been trying to power them with a Rockford P3002, but it has no where near the output the subs need. The subs aren't working, plain and simple, hardly any movement...

    Question on impedance

soooo I can't get em to 3 ohms then. Thats what i'm taking that as. 1.5 ohms is messing up something with my system, like bad. I have tried a couple variations now, and all of them make the the subs either almost unaudible (if i change the frequency i can get stuff above bass to come through...

    Question on impedance

I want to wire 2 10 inch DVC 6ohm subs to a 2 channel amplifier. I'm trying to get a way to wire them that would put the ohm level at the amp at 2 or higher, the closer it is the better. This is what I'm thinking: If I wire the negative terminals of the voice coil on the first sub together...

    Anyone have a diagnosis?

My amp recommends only running it down to 2 ohms. Is there any other way to wire these to get close to that, as in one sub parallel and one in series? And also, what does the lower ohms affect?

    Anyone have a diagnosis?

Is it impossible to tell what's holding it back then?
