guys, i bought 2 Alpine R-W12D4 subwoofers DVC subs They are DVC 4 ohm subs at 750 watts rms each I have an amp which is a JL Audio JX1000, capable of 1000 watts rms at 2ohm or 500 watts rms at 4ohm The manual says the amp will go into protection mode if it detects any load lower than 2 ohm...

damn that guy has a way bigger box just with one 12" what if i disconnect one sub, do you think that will make a difference? they guys box in the video show 2 speaker but one speaker hole blocked up, so maybe one 12" speaker has more space in the box

thank you for your response the box i have is an official JL Audio enclosure, its designed for 2 12 inch subwoofer, its a bass wedge ported box so you would say i need an amp with more power? since the amp i have manages 4 component speakers as well as the subwoofer channel the amp manages...

Hi its still sounds the same after my upgrade I have a JL Audio CP212-V0V3 subwoofer enclosure its holds 2x 300 watt rms subwoofers so 600 watts RMS i then upgraded the subs to 2x 12w3v3-4 subwoofer at 500 watts rms per subwoofer so now its 1000 watts RMS Now that is an extra 400 watts...
