I'll pick up the first thing that checks out local preferably for the sub. Like I said I'm just going to be running it through my little amp so it's not going to be anything special. But now I I have the equipment picked out, installation is next. I don't really understand the whole amping...

She really doesn't listen to CDs at all and listens to the radio more than anything so we'll probably keep the Kenwood for the time being. Thanks! You pretty much explained me perfectly. Honestly, my sister could care less. She said she doesn't think the difference between stock and $100 will...

Like just grab a couple of these? https://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-TS-G1620F-2-Way-Coaxial-Speaker/dp/B07595G6H7/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_107_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=C33JJP26GF120910HJPV Or are there better/cheaper? I really appreciate the help. Thank you.

I guess one reason for doing back speakers is for ease of installation. If I use the rear out for the fronts and front outs for the tweeters it means doing some semi serious re wiring and pulling the head unit out. Whereas original placement 6.5" speakers will require almost nothing along with...

Sometimes it links to not the correct option, that would be the 8 gauge? Thanks!

My father said he would like to make the box. We'll see about that. As for a kit.. Would you mind linking me? Can be from anywhere unless it's $50 at Express as I can get free shipping if I reach $100. And would you recommend that sub I chose or is there something better for right around the...

See what I mean, I have no idea. Which is why I'm here, to learn from the experts. I was just thinking about that.. The amp is a Kenwood kac 606 by the way. I'm going to do a bit more research into that. I could be under $100 if all works out.

Thanks! Looks like I'm back to just doing speakers for now and just spending more later on an amp/sub.

So between those 2, the amp is the weak point. I don't plan on wasting money, which is why I'm here. I appreciate the info!

To go from my last post.. These 2 items are 50-80% less money that any other sub/amp combo but what's wrong with them? https://www.parts-express.com/boss-r1004-riot-400-watt-4-channel-car-audio-amplifier--265-3987 https://www.parts-express.com/grs-12sw-4-12-poly-cone-subwoofer-4-ohm--292-484...

I have a question. If we were to go with 2(or 4) of the Parts Express speakers and a sub/amp in the rear, what's the absolute cheapest sub/amp from parts express that would work along with those $9 speakers. I don't want garbage obviously, but the amp just needs to push the sub and the sub...

WTB 4x6.5" speaker setup on a budget.

At or under $100. I'm ordering new in a day or 2, just decided why not post here? I didn't want to buy used but I think everyone here would be trustable. I'm running these through the HU until I can afford an amp.

Yeah, I'll decide between the 3 I posted, and all of them that you guys posted. Then in a couple months or less we'll grab a small mono amp and 10/12 sub. Whenever I find a deal. I think buying used amps is safe, speakers and subs, I'd rather not.

Got it! Actually I'll be in the rear most of time(LOL) but it seems like any of these speakers will sounds just fine run through the HU. So if I can, HU the back and Amp the front. Add a sub later.
