Bump please help

Hey guys I'm buying my system right now and I have a few questions about a component speaker amp. I have a 2003 350z with pioneer premier DEH-P800PRS head unit with a JL 500/1 sub amp and 10" W7 (amp and sub not yet installed). I am looking at getting the Polk SR 6500 components as I've heard...

Awww.... is it ok to just use that portrait looking brace? and if i had 1" MDF do you think bracing would even be necessary? Also, somone told me that the bottom and top of the box are glued flat to the top and bottom of the baffle and back.... and then the sides surround is wedged inbetween...

an X or / pattern? any pics? i dont believe im even remotely familiar with either, heh sorry = ( bracing is usually always parallel to the baffle right? or does it matter ( i thought for airflow purposes it would)?

gross = without sub displacement and net = with sub displacement correct? if so then i want 1.25 cubes gross.... or i think form what JL recommends

Wassssssabi I’m getting a jl 500/1 and a jl 10” w7 within a week, and I don’t have a box yet. I probably want to build it on my own, but I need a little guidance. I want a sealed box at around 1.25 cubic feet after displacement of the sub. Heres my list of questions (basically a rant) = )...

does full output include the frequency range of both treble, midbass and sub bass? or are you specifically talking about the signal sent to the subs, especially considering it takes more distortion to become audible in that range of frequency so maybe the HU does in fact effect it in a tiny way...

well, i dont have it yet, its shipping b4 christmas.... i know sealed supposed to be 1.25 cubic feet, but thats including speaker displacement i assume, making it more like 1.34 cubic feet or so, and i haven't found any boxes that size..... I got a quesiton for the box type....having it paralell...

well, i just recently got my 10" w7 for 387.50 shipped new but obviously no insurance or warranty.....and i'm also getting the jl 500 amp, so when you say its hard to bring out its full potential, are you talkin about bracing? box requirements? what exactly does that entail?

hehe yeah i did make an ass of myself, but with good reason because the first half of this post had ridiculous suggestions....anyways i'm not dissing adire, i've heard ppl rant and rave about adir and audiobahn, i just think as far as SQ goes, you cant beat a w7.... at least thats the opinion...

I'm sorry to say, but half you people in here dont know what you are talking about..... 1000 watts rms for a 10w7? thats like paying for power you wont even use, and even increasing the chance of blowing your subs if anyone puts the gains up a tad... how ridiculous..... first of all like KMU...
