Ok, I’ll see if I can stop by before class tomorrow and snap a few pictures.

    Was in an accident

I think he was the third person to mention audio insurance. Before I installed, I asked my insurance about that and the car alarm and they shrugged me off and told me to keep receipts which is what I’ve done. Even if I kept receipts? That’s the only factor I forgot to mention earlier, so I’m not...

    Was in an accident

Im not sure what you mean by audio ins? It was all front end damage. The sub box was knocked out of place from where it was screwed in and sub has a grill on it. The amps were screwed in to a block of wood to insulate from touching metal and that was screwed to the back of the back seats.

    Was in an accident

My car has been totaled and I have a lot of audio equipment in it. I'm not certain what will happen financially if my insurance just takes my equipment. I'm not sure if they will give me what I paid for, or will pay what they want, but I paid a little over $3,000. I have a hard time believing...

    Need new front stage!

Bumping this to see if anyone else could chime in? I'm going to be pulling the trigger soon.

    Need new front stage!

My JL XR finally broke. By broke, I mean the tinsel wire came off on one of the connections connected to the speaker from its terminal. TIME FOR A NEW ONE! > Now, I'm looking for a reliable speaker, with good sound quality. My budget is $500-600, but I would like to be lower than that, but I...

    300/4v3 and 600/1v3 Tuning

I looked into that one and saw that it just has 1 RCA connection. You have to break that up with Y-connectors, right? I saw, and have heard of David Navone LOCs, have you guys had any experience with those?

Fixing an old Eclipse and looking at DDX6902s DDX9902s

Found what I was originally looking at in terms of having other adapters to look at. Steering wheel audio control adapters Also, does anyone here have any experience with getting their Eclipse units fixed, these days? I'd really love to salvage this unit.

Fixing an old Eclipse and looking at DDX6902s DDX9902s

I guess I was mistaken. All I'm seeing is a PAC. What are these suppose to be called so I can do a wider search than just Crutchfield?

Fixing an old Eclipse and looking at DDX6902s DDX9902s

One more thing, the dash kits that I am seeing are only Metra and Schoche and I keep reading that the bottom of the kit doesn't stay flush. I can't seem to find any other brands, are there any?

Fixing an old Eclipse and looking at DDX6902s DDX9902s

Budget is $1000 and below. The lower the price without sacrificing what I want and reliability, the better. I can't find any new Eclipse head units, are they online only now? I forgot to mention that I want the unit to be a double din. Sorry about that. Regarding the adapter, I saw that there's...

    300/4v3 and 600/1v3 Tuning

I unfortunately made the mistake of sticking with the stock head unit and using a line out converter, but I don't like how my sub is producing frequencies higher than I want, no matter the low pass frequency setting. I will be remedying this as soon as I figure out a suitable head unit. I used...

Fixing an old Eclipse and looking at DDX6902s DDX9902s

I have an old Eclipse CD8053 that gave me the best sound quality in a head unit I've ever heard, but it sadly crapped out on me. Remote wire is broke, and about a year later it over heated and the CD stopped spinning. I wouldn't mind getting this fixed and sent out an email to Eclipse. They...

    300/4v3 and 600/1v3 Tuning

I'm using a DMM(Digital Multi-Meter) to tune my amps so I don't blow my speakers. The volts on that they're suppose to be at are 17.3 @ 4 ohms on each channel for the 300/4 and 49 @ 4 ohms for the 600/1 when the volume is 3/4 max. If I'm understanding this correctly, if my sub (12w6v3) is rated...

Installing aftermarket with stock HU - a bit of questioning!

I did a little digging after your explanation and this was probably the best I could come find that answers both of our questions about frequency. Look at post number nine. I think my signals should be good, if I'm understanding you correctly? Need help, 2012 Mazda3 with Bose - Want to keep OEM...
