Buying a system, Need some Advice

I currently have a 10 inch alpine type E in a ported box, but i find the bass way too boomy. I now have money to buy something more expensive so I'm getting rid of the sub and box and buying all new gear, including a Sub amp. So, whats the difference between a 10, 12 or 15 inch Sub? also, should...

    Bridging channels

So the RCA's stay connected to the front output of the amp? I don't have to run another RCA cable to connect to the rear output on the amp?

    Bridging channels

How does bridging channels on a amp work? I know that you take the negative and positive wire and connect them across two channels, but do I need to do anything with the RCA cables?

    Which High end Components?

Any other brand names to consider? When I searched the forum I came across names such as CDT, Hertz, Polk, Rainbow. These companies make many different models of comps, so Which ones are good?

    Which High end Components?

That seems a little more complicated... I would prefer to just buy a set of comps.

    Which High end Components?

What do you mean by that? I thought component speakers came in a complete set

    Which High end Components?

My budget is around $300-400, but I would prefer to buy a set which are considered the best bang for the buck.

    Which High end Components?

I currently have a set of MTX 6001 comps powered by an Infinity 7541 amp. I really dont like the way these speakers sound, so I would like to get something far better. When I bridge my amp I will have 278 watts a channel to power the speakers, so I will have plenty of power for a high end set...

    Pioneer REV's on Sale

How do these compare to the Polk MOMO's? Would these be considered as a high end set of components? Also, It says these are only rated at 60 watts. Isnt that a little low? My MTX's are rated at 90 watts but there not even that loud.

MTX TX6001 comps, anybody used them?

I have them, but I wouldn't recommend them. They do sound ok, but thats about it. Nothing spectacular. Also, I hope you have another set of crossovers around because the ones that come with the 6001's are absolute garbage. There are two settings, 0db, and -3db. One setting setting makes the...

    Swapping amps

I guess you had experience with Dodge cars before. It really is a pain when I need to do some work on my Chrysler Sebring:(

    Swapping amps

Is this the only safe way? My battery is located under the front fender and the only way to get to it is if I jack the car up, take the tire off, then take off the fender skirt. Its a huge pain and I would like to avoid doing it if possible.

    Swapping amps

I have a Infinity amp but there is a problem with it putting out static through the tweeters so I have a replacement coming. What should I do before I switch around the amps in regards to electrical safety? Should I take the fuse out?
