I can't really find a place I'm confortable drilling into for a ground, would it be wise to run the ground all the way from the battery along with the power? I know the battery would be the best place to ground the amp in the first place as its of the lowest resistance, but I wasn't too sure...

i'm having a hard time understanding why you need to ground anything electrical. maybe someone can explain it better?

someone at bestbuy tried to tell me that since it has 2 voice coils that its better for the speaker and allows the sub to run cooler or something.

is there any advantage in having a dual voice coil other than the different wiring options?

anyone ever make a ported box with aeroports and design it to perform as a sealed and ported box? like put a cover over the aeroport so itll be sealed?

i hear that the recommended tuning for sq for a ported box is 28-30hz, but just wondering how much is it going differ from the sq of a sealed box? i know sealed boxes have a better transient response and ported generally have a higher output, but whats the difference going to be between a sq...

oh ok, well bestbuy ***** at life, they listed the wrong stats. i was thinking everything was wrong because they were saying you can bridge a mono amp . i think i understand it now, different amps reproduce different parts of the sound spectrum. one more question, if class d are the main amps...

ok well i was just using this alpine MRP-M650 as an example. the one that does 600rms at 2ohm. im sorry but im just not getting it.

ok well i see what you saying, but i was getting this from a best buy product slip description. i just looked it up, the same amp says 20hz-20khz, so really this amp could reproduce all of the sound spectrum that we as humans are able to hear. btw this was the same class d amp.

so the amp its self is not able to produce output for anything higher than 250hz? how is that? i thought maybe it was referring to the low pass crossover built in the amp. so you mean if i hooked up a set of midbass to it, the amp wouldn't be able to output at all because its above 250hz? oh...

yea its a class d amp. can anyone explain it better?
