    Letting crossovers earn their money??

These are the crossover units that came with my polk db6501's. I have my system setup like this: head unit = rca'ed to amp = wire's to crossovers for each speaker (polk db6501's and polk momo 690's), from crossovers to speakers. Thanks Joe

So I had to get a new H/U.......

I had the Pioneer 880PRS, for about 4 months. I started to loose interest in it and took the leap into Kenwood land. I've never really a Kenwood car stereo fan. I like their speakers and amps. I sold my 880PRS and bought the Kenwood KDC-791. Man that was the best move I've made. I've always been...

I am running mine in standard mode. If I change it to network mode, would it be logical. My system is: 4 channel amp for front and rear; 2 channel amp for sub. Also, what is a active system?? Thanks Joe

    2007 Pioneer HU

I've been trying to read up on the new head units for 2007, by Pioneer. I got on their website and there is nothing about them. Crutchfield shows there is about 4 new ones. I've seen it go up to the DEH-P6900ub. Not a lot of information. Has anyone experienced any of these new units?? I'm...

Anybody notice Pioneer HU's LPF slope cant be turned off

I have a lonely little Pioneer DEH480MP. My amps are: Profile 1040 for components and Audiobahn A4002T for the Sub. I have the xovers set at full and am using the HU xovers. I found this to work for the sound effects, that my listening ears like to hear. I have the xover @ 80hz for LPF/HPF/SUB...

    Blew my HU

Had them hooked up like normal channel #1 +/- , channel #2 +/-, etc... Channels #1 and #2 are for front 2Ohm speakers, Channels #3 and #4 are for rear 4 Ohm speakers. My amp is fine. I'm running a different HU and put the previous component speakers back up front (4Ohms).

    Blew my HU

I am running the typical setup. HU (RCA's to AMP): AMP (wires to speakers). The Amp is fine. I've hooked up a different stereo and kept the 2Ohm speakers out of the equation. Everything sounds kosher.

    Blew my HU

I took the speakers out of the equation and the HU still sounded the same.

    Blew my HU

I believe I blew my HU. I bought me a set of Kappa (2Ohm) components. I hooked them up to my amp and now my unit sounds like crap! I've never owned 2Ohm speakers before. All my other speakers are 4 Ohm. Should I have bridged them at the Amp?? thanks Joe

    Hey Y'all

First post from sunny Alabama. I've been reading the threads for awhile. Good information. I'm partial to Pioneer stereos, Infinity speakers and Kenwood amps. Ford family. First on Race Day. Later

    Amp changes

I run the RCA's from my HU to my amp's. When I run RCA's from the output of my 4 channel to my 2 channel (Sub). It seems that the bass in my speakers are fuller. When I run it normal, from the HU, it doesn't sound as full. Is this normal?? Anyone else experience this... thanks J
