It is an 2008 Accord EX-L w/Navigation. Yes, I did use a 3/4" spacer on the speaker. However, as I have been thinking about it, do you think that if the speaker basket was touching the side of the hole that it would cause the door metal to vibrate at certain frequencies giving of the hum?

Do have some sound deadener applied to the door and the speaker is not hitting the door panel as it was making the sound when I tested before I put the panel back on. Also, don't know of any smells or burning. I am at a loss. any other ideas? Your help is appreciated.

I have a new 08 Accord Sedan and want to replace my front stock component speakers with something new and better. I don't plan to replace the 270 Watt system and want to spend around $200 (online price) for the best component speakers. What do you guys recommend?
