you know, power isnt everything especially only 250 watts directed to spl. beside all your moving is air. lighter is better which = efficiency. you can put a 500 horse engine in a car or a bus but one will respond better and go faster.

dd's always sounded better ported to me!! and so does everything else

the amp does matter. car audio mag. proved the sub can handle alot more than you can imagine using clean amps.

go with something efficient. jl w1's or old jl w6's

yup. cotjones see's a w1 cone and i think i see kicker for the inner surround. i just didnt think a boston spider couldnt handle that tho. ive seen a mtx 9500 max out and it never compared to that. isnt 9500's suppose to be the highest excursion sub on the market? 4" p-p?. what could of been...
