To be specific, I have an 05 Malibu and am going to install a system. Where have you guys run your power wire through the firewall? I've looked under by the pedals and can't quite seem to find a boot for wires or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just for the record, I have no trouble building either type. I just need what sounds better for these particular subs.

I have 2 12" P3's but I can't decide what box I should make. Trunk space is not an issue, I'm just curious which type of box these would sound better in. I listen to mostly hip-hop, so ported would definitely be louder, but I feel the 1200W will we plenty for me in sealed. Anybody here tried...

So I would pretty much have to feed them through by hand?

Thanks for the help man. Have you ever replaced your stock speaker wires? I want to try to tape my end of the wire to the stock wire at the speaker then pull it all out from behind the head unit. You think that'd work?

17w to each component speaker, so no big deal there. 600w to each sub with 14 ga but running from the amp right next to the box

I want to replace my stock speaker wires with 18 ga because I have a big *** spool of the ****, and I want to run 14 ga for my subs.

I'm not worried about getting the air space right. I can calculate that part. I just want it to look **** in the trunk. What I'm asking is can you think of any design that would look good?

Anybody? I've thought of doing like a half pyramid or something like that

I'm trying to build a unique box for my 2 12" subs. The main factor is the aesthetics. Space is not an issue: I need sealed at 1.25 ft^3 per chamber, and have a 36"x16" space with variable depth to deal with. Any cool designs you've seen/heard done? Note: I do not plan on using fiberglass, only MDF
