    memphis mc1.100 ?

I'm a fan of over powering, so I'd say you amp/sub combo is matched nicely. You'll really like that amp too.

    memphis mc1.100 ?

The positive and negatives on the amp are connected. It just gives you the ability to run more/larger wire to your subs. For example, if you tried running two 10 gauge wires from one output, it could be a hassle to get them in there. As the amp is now you be able to run a wire from each output...

Amp advice for Polk MM1240 under $300

The MB amp suggested before would be a good choice, and if you want a small powerhouse, you could go with a Massive N3 (it puts out 700 watts @ 2 Ohm).

    memphis amp suggestions

In my experience with Memphis speakers they can take more power that rated. If you put 125 rms on 60 rms speakers, you'd be able to keep the gains down (less distortion). The other thing about having more power on tap is you'll have it ready if you decide to upgrade you speakers.

    vw bug

The last bug I did had 6.5" coax's in the kicks, 6"9's in the back (in little boxes on the sub enclosure, and two 15's firing up in a big arse ported box (no back seat obviously). It's loud. It was all installed about 6-7 years ago, and it all still works just like it did new. All of it is...

    Sound Deadener Showdown?

OK, audioholic has explained it quite well. As far as what I said before about deadening helping with SPL, it still can (it can be better than nothing). Ive seen the mass loading effect help to decrease panel movement and increase SPL (not by a ton, but every tenth counts). Again, it's not...

    Sound Deadener Showdown?

So I'm guessing you are not able to explain your position clearly?

    Sound Deadener Showdown?

    Why?

    Sound Deadener Showdown?

The use of sound deadener in SPL is common and helpfull. One way to make the panels stiffer is by adding deadener. The stiff panel means that the sound energy is not transfered to the exterior of the vehicle as easily as a bare panel. The roof is a big place to lose energy to the outside world...

4 channel amp in the $200-300 range?

I ordered a PowerBass Xtreme XAX-4160FD a few days ago from Sonic, and I just got an email tonight that they are temporarilly out of stock on it. They have offered to upgrade me to a different amp, and I'd like input on what to try for (I'll be calling them tomorrow morning to work something...

Best 6.5 components for $200 or less?

Ah, I missed the link before. I read one review of those that said the tweeters were very harsh. I think if I was going to go ID, I'd get the cxs's for $50 more. Now I must chose between ck6's for $140, or cxs's for $209. Grrr - I wish I Han a shop remotely close to me that had these speakers so...

Best 6.5 components for $200 or less?

Which id's? Just found the id csx62 v.2 for $209 shipped. That seems to change the game a bit since the gap is almost moot ((for the most part).
