I'm a fan of over powering, so I'd say you amp/sub combo is matched nicely. You'll really like that amp too.

The positive and negatives on the amp are connected. It just gives you the ability to run more/larger wire to your subs. For example, if you tried running two 10 gauge wires from one output, it could be a hassle to get them in there. As the amp is now you be able to run a wire from each output...

The MB amp suggested before would be a good choice, and if you want a small powerhouse, you could go with a Massive N3 (it puts out 700 watts @ 2 Ohm).

Are they single or dual voice coil?

In my experience with Memphis speakers they can take more power that rated. If you put 125 rms on 60 rms speakers, you'd be able to keep the gains down (less distortion). The other thing about having more power on tap is you'll have it ready if you decide to upgrade you speakers.

Why?

The use of sound deadener in SPL is common and helpfull. One way to make the panels stiffer is by adding deadener. The stiff panel means that the sound energy is not transfered to the exterior of the vehicle as easily as a bare panel. The roof is a big place to lose energy to the outside world...

Which id's? Just found the id csx62 v.2 for $209 shipped. That seems to change the game a bit since the gap is almost moot ((for the most part).
