i have the dvc one w/ alpine mrd-m500 amp in parallel. 500 watts at 2 ohms. runs fine. had it in for a month now. gain is half way on amp. 1cu foot sealed box. sounds clean, i just need dynamat. trunk rattles like a mofo.

or an amp w/ a preout on it that you can connect to the 2nd amp

thanks anyway, i found out the problem. one voice coil's teminals was labeled wrong, even though it matched up the picture on the website. works fine now. thanks.

i just hooked up my e12k.44 dual 4 to my alpine mrd-m500 amp. i wired it correctly i think from + on amp i split it to 2 wires, one to each pos. terminal on voice coils. from - on amp i split it to 2 wires, one to each neg. terminal on voice coils. isnt this a parallel configuration...

i fit 6.5" reference components in the front of my wrx that has a 5.25 3 screw opening. i got spacers from http://www.iaperformance.com and they fit fine.

i have ordered an elemental designs e12k dual 4 ohm. i'm using an alpine mrd-m500 mono amplifier to power it. wired in parallel to 2ohms it'll be pushing the sub w/ 500 watts. ed recommends a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure for this subwoofer. what difference would a 1.1 cubic foot or a .9...
