humm thanks for the link.... the problem with my stroker is just the burnt voice coil and a torn spider (lower one). the upper cone and surround is as good as new. can anyone plz guide me how many layer coil , over diameter and size of wire should i use for the voice coil? for sure wants me...

with a 34hz box , u will be hitting pretty much all the bass and will also be pretty heavy sounding and with a 38hz box, some bass notes would be very peaky and louder sounding , but overall the bass will sound like a fire cracker which is loud as hell but no real "heavy" feeling. but this...

hi guys, the stroker is the 1st gen. the cone and the upper spider are like new. the things which need replacment is the lower spider and the voice coil. does anyone know the size of the voice coil? and the gauge used? moreover, is it worth the recone? i am going to power it with 1000rms .

hummmm the most common problems i have seen in the first gen are the surround peeling off and voice coil burnt...... sheeeshhh i alwaz thought ppl wired it wrong or somthing... now tht i know its a common problem in the sub itsself...

kicker l7 15" are out with about 3 generations. but all of them are 1000rms. question is , does the older gen sound the same as the newer ones?

hummm. yes mayb thts one of the main reason y its rubbing. all in all, sounds pretty decent.... but keeps on smelling like a dry fish... (the previous burnt coil smell is still there)....

was installing the amp on a friends car. its kenwood x811D. the amp seems to do weird stuffs 1) somtimes the bass is pretty darn less.... at times it seems to get double the output. 2) bass notes seems to break... even on a bass note which is constant, u can hear the bass breakup.. 3) amp...

i played the woofer today. it seems fine..... but yes i do hear somthing scraping the cone when the volume is low.... on high volumes it goes away

ya i do have a manual machine on which i made the coil. the woofer which u recone, do u get them with the exact ohms as b4?

i checked the coil with the gauge meter and it showed me size 26. then i wind the coil exactly how it was b4... everything turned out excellent. the woofer doesnt even show any signs of repair but on the multimeter, it shows me 5.5ohms each.
