    Speaker and Power Ground Touched

I was messing around (don't ask) and touched my speaker negative (-) out on my amp to my power ground for the amp. The sub just lowered in output and crackled a bit, then seemed to go back to normal once I took it off. Is it likely that I've done ANY damage? My electrical knowledge is limited...

How to Wire an Amp Without a Remote Wire?

As much as I hate to be a pain, that "manual" is only instructions for mounting the unit.

How to Wire an Amp Without a Remote Wire?

Let me clarify. My amp has no remote. Nor does my stock headunit, for that matter, but I know how to make a remote for an amp without a headunit remote. I need to be able to make a remote by running the main power for the amp to a 12V switch constantly on with the turn of the key, correct? For...

How to Wire an Amp Without a Remote Wire?

Pretty self-explanatory. How would I go about doing this? Any ideas for a switch I could run the main power cable to?

Amplification for the budget of a 17 year old?

Poor effort on my part. "Low budget" is entirely subjective.

Amplification for the budget of a 17 year old?

I do apologize to the second fellow. When I saw "Xplod" in a short reply, I assumed he meant to get an Xplod sub, not an amp. Just a lack of focus on my part. I did say, originally, that I was on a small budget, so any amps that you would "recommend" would, I assume, be out of my price range...

Amplification for the budget of a 17 year old?

You guys are extraordinarily helpful. One of you dissed the product (as I expected), and the other provided no relevant response.

Amplification for the budget of a 17 year old?

THUMP AT-8 800 Watt Dual 8" Loaded Subwoofer Box Car Sub Enclosure I'm fully prepared to have someone tell me how inadequate this item is. I paid nothing for it and it's been sitting in my closet for years. No reason not to use it.

Amplification for the budget of a 17 year old?

I have replaced all 4 speakers in my 94 Nissan truck to a satisfying level. I have 2 subs rated at 300w RMS and 800w max for the pair. Don't ask about them, they're cheap but adequate. How cheaply can I get out for an amp to power these really well and wiring? Any locations you'd direct me to...
