id go with a second alternator wired to a second battory, not even connected with the car's elctronics. Or you can just parallel wire a second car audio battery with a switch inbetween the two batteries, so you can disconnect the two when the car is off and cjust run it off the spare battery...

all you really need that crossover for is the 5v ourput, which is really good, and some extra bass boost around a certain frequency, otherwise your HU and amp shold already hav th same settings. This one is also good if ur running subs on one amp, midranges on one amp, and tweeter on one amp id...

first thing i would do is install a new remote turn on wire, then double check my power cables(grond and hot) all the way to the battery. second thing i would check is make sure there is nothing that might cause your amp go into protection mode. IE: loose wires, wires that may have came loose...
