No, amp is not mounted to the sub box.

    Whining Noise

Right... I just can't see why.

    Whining Noise

I like it for the time being... Is there any way I can identify what's wrong?

    Whining Noise

Yes only one set... U mean connect L to R and R to L? :o And no, speaker amp has no RCA output... RCA is set as Rear.

KyleBechtold, exactly! nineball, you think it's a faulty passthrough system?

    Whining Noise

OK, I understand that u want me to ground the RCA of the Headunit. This Pioneer only has 1 RCAout pair. IF RCA needed grounding, then I would hear the "turbo" noise when I would connect the speaker amplifier only. That is not the case. The only time I hear that noise is when I connect the...

    Whining Noise

Well, if the HU was the cause, wouldn't the problem persist when connecting the Speaker Amplifier directly to the HU? To make it clear: HU --RCA--> Kicker ZX --RCA--> Hertz EP This is the whining one. HU --RCA--> Hertz EP This is the one without problem (of course subwoofer is not...

    Whining Noise

Hello. I know this question has been asked many times before, but I just need your opinion in this special case: I got engine whining noise (like a small turbine) that varies with engine's RPM coming from the tweeters. This happens only when the engine is on and the headunit volume is at...

    Vb and Fb question

Nvm RE calc, I just learnt how to calculate slanted L-ports. Thanks for ur answers though, good to know that when u actually cut the wood it doesn't matted if u go 1 or 2mm off.

    Vb and Fb question

Thanks a lot. That's the scale of the difference RE calc introduces when converting to slanted box according to BassBox 6 Pro. 0.2Hz or so at the tuning frequency would be insignificant I think. I built a regular box but I miscalculated the space on the top side and now it won't fit for 3cm...

    Vb and Fb question

    Will these 2 boxes sound different? 2.236 cu.ft. @ 35.5Hz port area: 29 sq.in. 2.197 cu.ft. @ 35.7Hz port area: 33 sq.in.

    Is this box wrong?

Do u think I need bracing in this box?

    Is this box wrong?

Well... MTX suggests 38Hz. I don't know. I'm building it, if it sounds like ****, I'm building another one.

    Is this box wrong?

Umm, yeah, suggested length is 480mm for given port area. I see no reason why I should increase port area along with box volume to get a longer 2nd port part...

    Is this box wrong?

Vb without speaker displacement 2.48 c.ft. Fb 38Hz. Oh come on, we keep increasing the port area! 34 sq.in. should be enough. It's even bigger than MTX's suggested one.
