I was really trying to stay with pioneer, but i have taken a liken to a few kenwwod HU they were impressive and i guess what i was getting at is that iknow my pioneer set up in my cirus sounded **** good. but before i put in the pioneer HU i was running jvc and trust me the combo was not that good.

choke your chicken............. iwas referring to different brands as far as building your system. meaning pioneer HU mtx subs alpine amps kenwood passive etc,etc, etc. every part of your system is made by a different manufacture. now do you understand what im saying.

they are pretty much right when i was pushing the cirus i had to try aiming my subs upwards, downards, towards the lid etc, etc. I finally aimed them towards the trunk lid. but now im pushing the expo my subs fire downward. trust in your ears, they will make the right decision.

alright im going to try it again. i have already relocated my ground, sub is wired for 2 ohms and i will give setting the gain.

the gain is set in the normal position (as marked) what other settings are there.

one thing that was not mention pioneer say in there instruction manual that you had to use a special power wire it basicly has two 30 amp fuses on one end. could this simple wire cause my head aches. rd233 red wire. will not using this wire cause some type of damage to the amp.

amp: pioneer gm7100m / sub: 12w3v2-d4 wire coming off battery 6awg (5") into fuse holder (30amp fuse) 8awg out of fuse holder powering amp 6awg ground amp power light comes on, iam able to hear some sound but very very little volume is very low(lower than stock system not powered)

ok i did wire for 8 at one time this is after i tried everything and trust me it did not last 5 min. i think the amp was defected. igoing to relocate my ground with 6 gauge wire tomorrow if noyhing comes from that i just going to return it.

i was thinking it may be the ground.... i will relocate it tomorrow to see if that makes a different. the sub was wired for 2 ohm set up the only other way to wire it would be for 8 ohms. i will recheck all the connections to hope it makes a diff.
