I just bought an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12VQ subwoofer, which wants up to 400wrms. I was wondering if this sub would take 450wrms, because I'd really like to buy a profile amp rated at that level, instead of a 300wrms one a step lower. Any help?

This may seem like a pretty random question, but... I've got the specs for my box, I've got the subs, and I've got the amp... My question is: WHERE DO I GET THE MDF?? I've looked on homedepot.com and it doesn't appear they carry it. Please let me know. If it helps, I'm in the Los Angeles area.

Nope, they're upcoming. Presale at $50/each. That's why I'm buying. 2 8" subs, 400w total, $100 shipped. Honestly can't beat it, imho.

I have a crappy little v6 mustang. I'm not sure of the alternator stats or anything like that. Any help? IF the amp puts out the claimed 450w, will that be too much for two subs asking for 400wrms? Keep in mind that these are elemental design's K-series, if that makes a difference.

I was looking at the Profile CL600. It puts out a claimed 450wrms when bridged at 4 ohms. Figuring that it's overrated (hopefully just slightly), this should be about perfect for a 400wrms 2x 8" subwoofer setup, correct? Any opinions? I see. How would they sound in a ported box? The specs for a ported 8" ED is still smaller than my old L7 12" sealed, so I'm fairly certain I could run them ported.
