Alright I will run through the connections. It goes: Deck > RCA > AMP, Speakers > Speaker Wire > Crossover > AMP. Guessing it is somewhere on the connection from the speaker to the crossover. Since the tweeter will still work on the left side but not the speaker.

So I have MTC Component speakers 4001 and a JVC head with a Jensen 4 channel amp. I have noticed that my left speaker in the dash (not the tweeter) will decide to stop working and if I turn the volume back up loud it kicks in again for a while. Does this on CD and AUX?? What gives?? Thanks

I have a 1990 Regular Cab Toyota Pickup and I got a new deck and a MTX Thunder Axe 4001 4" inch component speakers. It has the sub/mid with the extra tweeter. From what I have been told for best sound I should build a box for the speakers to resonate in instead of the just sitting in the dash...

So lets say I start off with the 4 inch components in the front dash, and then later expand into the 6.5 in the door. Could I use the JVC unit and be fine?
