My buddy has 1 SE 12" in a 2.5cf box tuned to 33 and it sounds amazing. How much power are you sending it? I would recommend trying to fit in a 3.5 or 4 cf box tuned somewhere between 30-35. Probably gonna be a tight fit in a truck though.

Well just finished up about an hour ago with everything. Took longer getting the stock headunit out then it did to wire and check everything worked on the new one. Here's how I eventually got it out: 3 people and 15 minutes!! Stupid, stupid ford DIN headunits. I didn't want to take the bezel...

I'll try the inward thing. I've jammed screwdrivers in the top/bottom/sides trying to pry it out, and I've recently discovered yanking from grabbing inside the tape player gives lots of pressure, but it still won't come out!!!

Trying to f'in install a radio in my dads 2001 Ford Escape. Got it for him for christmas and I cannot get the **** DIN tools to work. I stick them in, it clicks, I push outward and pull like a mother Fu$*er and it won't come out! I've tried using them deeper and less deep and it just will not...

Yeah I was thinking the same thing since it does NOT do that noise when you disconnect the RCA cables. I'll go swap out the RCA cables now that I have a second opinion and see if that does it.

I got these for $55 on sale locally one weekend. Best thing I've done in years. Not perfect by any means, but definitely does the job. Last year I had girls from 6 doors down in the dorm complain while I played Late Nite Tip. Why do you want a wireless remote?

I say 2 12" RE SE's wired to 1ohm which gives them right at 600 watts each with that amp. Pending space and you said per sub which I'm assuming means you can fit 2. Fits well under the budget as well.

How much sub mounting depth do you have?
