A couple days ago I was listening to my system and the bass started getting less loud then it stopped and a bunch of smoke came from the vent on the box... I'm assuming the subwoofers are blown, even though when I push on them I don't really hear any magnent grinding. My setup was a 2600 watt...

if your alt is new, then it's probably the battery having some dead cells. either way, getting a new battery and alternator will do the trick.

I've always had a problem with SOMETHING in my system, and I think I found it? I've had 3 amps, and after about 3 or 4 days, each amp would slowly start to loose power and the subs wouldn't hit as hard. The ground that it's on right now feels like it's not really made of metal, or all metal...

well when I push on the subs they feel nice no metal magnet grinding or whatever. could they still be blown? I feel like the amp is blown but idk

no suggestions..?

Okay, so I have an audi a6 2.7t, had it for a while now, 3 different systems, and they've all gone... I've had my current system for about a week or two, and it just shit the bed. It's a power acoutik 2600watt amp, wired at 4ohms, and 2 pioneer premiers in a ported box. It hit pretty hard...

just making sure, i'm in the process of hooking up my new system 2600 watt amp, and i need to put on an "extention" for the wires to reach the sub box. I have some cheap sosche speaker wire, can i just twist it around the rockford fosgate and electric tape it, and will it work just as well?

can you run a 2 channel amp at 2ohms, and have 2 DVC 2ohm subwoofers because in a diagram it says the amp has to be at 4 ohms with 2 dvc subs
