For those who have used Alpine MRX amps, do you find this line to be a good reliable line of amplifiers that put out good power?

I think there were gems in the earlier car audio days. As I think there are gems today. I prefer the gems I have of yesterday over some of the gems today. My gems are the punch 45, punch 150, punch 200dsm, punch 250.1 power, lanzar opti 200.2, lanzar opti 1000.1d etc.

Yeah, i have one as well. With 120 amps of fusing, it's easy to say 1200 watts. But it definitely brings the bass. Hopefully someone has benched it before.

Does anyone know what the true RMS of this amp is at 1 ohm? I have done a search where some people say 1500 watts at 1 ohm at 14.4 volts, 1500 watts at 1 ohm at 16 volts but then others say 1200 watts at 1 ohm. What is the honest rating at 1 ohm? Also at 2 ohms?

How many of you and content running separate amps for mids and highs and bass? I am just asking because I like the performance from both of my amps however they are two totally separate makes and models.

Very nice amps.

I used that amp. When bass hits heavy, it causes the voltage to dip and the amp will shut off. I called Kicker and they verified this to be the case. NTW, this amp has a regulated power supply.

For those who have used SoundQubed amps and Alpine amps, will there be a huge difference in sound and build quality.

I know a lot about gain overlap and all of that. I know my head unit clips at 34/35. I have a new Kicker KX1200.1 (great amp btw). Would it be out of the question if I set my sub gains using a -10db test tone with a 40hz test tone with the volume at 30/35? I generally use a -5db test tone for my...
