I am thinking about running an Orion 1200d amp with a 12" idmax d2 sub. I will be giving it 12v and was wondering about the amps output at this power. I was thinking it would be around 950. It is marked at 1200 with 13.8 I believe. Can someone clarify what this will do at a stock battey 12v?

So when the mids are crossed over at 70hz the sub will not play 80 hz?

do most people cross mids at about 70hz? and subs like 60? 65?

Can you explain a little bit more, I am pretty new to car audio. I will be running Diamond Audio s600s components with 150rms to each side. So if I cross the mids that low the sub wont play that frequency?

So from people who have heard the sub at 80 hz, there is not significant noise? I want to make sure this sub will be perfect for my SQ setup. I dont want to have to worry about 80hz because my sub cant produce it right.

I am willing to spend the money on it, I just am curious about the flutter. I want a sub that will play everything and I mean everything I throw at it.

I am considering purchasing a 12w6v2 and I have been reading up on it. In a review by CA&E the guy says that it is pretty much flawless except for a flutter (mechanical noise) at 80hz. Has anyone that owns the sub or has head the sub clarify if this noise is there or if it is audible. Thanks.

The kicker amp sounds great. Is there any negatives to running a multichannel amp for my whole system? Also, with the multichannel which preamp would I hook it up to from the head unit. If I dont hook it up to the sub preamp then I dont think i can control bass with the head unit.
