Google "hfi vs hfx" and there is a small thread about it....few random people say the hfx's have better coils etc. I wish we could get a rep for hifonics to chime in..but i doubt thats going to happen.

Before you come back making a "my amp is 2000 watt max Like omg cool!" lol dont go by peak ratings. You need to go by the Rms. If the sub is 2 ohm,make sure the amp with tolerate a 2 ohm load with a decent rms rating for the best bang for the buck etc

Eh,for a decent tone from a 4 cylinder you need to do full exhaust with something like borla etc....which hits $600+ Please dont wreck your 09 civic. its a nice car,dont turn it into a riced out honda. Do this,get a cheap generic intake,or if anything a k&n drop in filter then go get a tune...

but when it comes to the cost,and the gain,its minimal. If you want more "roar" take the 200.00 and buy some budget subs and a amp and play a 50hz tone. lol

Just go with the ebay knock off filter systems,unless you are going to retune the car,exhaust,other mods etc a 200.00 air filter isnt going to improve much at all.

Cleaning depends on terrain. Do you drive down a gravel/dirt driveway? pavement only? i drive on a little bit of everything and mine gets dirty about every 4-6 months.

They usually dont destroy them,they just stop working correctly until you get some maf cleaner and clean the oil off of them. If you oil the filters correctly and you dont over do it you usually never have issues.

maybe its not going to gain you any noticeable power,but i did gain 1 mpg in my 03 ram with the k&n compared to my clean paper filter,then i had my tires filled with nitrogen and gained another 1 mpg...was it worth it? Yes. why? the air was free and the k&n was found at the pull it yard...
