whats the differenece.. will wiring them for 4ohm just cost more and sound better?

So if these Subs are 500 W RMS a piece.. 1000WRMS for the whole system.. Do i need to be looking at a mono amp with 1000WRMS for 1 ohm, 2 ohm, or 4 ohm???

Dual 4-ohm voice coils ... but remember I'm not stuck between only these two amps!

I am purchasing 2 12' Type-R Alpine's and am looking for an Amp to do these subs justice. The Subs are RMS 500 W and max 1500W Now basically i am looking for any input on Amp suggestions. Has anyone hooked these up with a specific amp that kicked ***. Anybody have any amps they just love.. so...

Bottom Line.. I have a Kenwood KAC-X621 1200 Watt Max.. Go with the 2 12's or 1 15'... ANYONE HAVE INPUT...

Who's got experience with these subs? How many did you have, what kind of box and what amp were you pushing it with? HOW DID IT SOUND?

I would say 12w7 if i was going to go with either of the subs. My question is this though. THe 15' Alpine Type-R's and the 12w7 RMS wattage is the same(500W). But I could get the 15' Alpine at half the price. Is it worth it going with the Alpine Type-R's.. what are the pro's and con's.. T...

OR should I sell subs amp and start over? How about the 15' Alpine TYPE-R SWR1542D ?

Well the 12w7 is 750 WATTS RMS, 1500 WATTS MAX... What should I really be pushing my amp at.. I mean I dont want to blow 500 dollars on a killer sub only to find out im going to have to buy a new 500 dolllar amp to push it. Any other recommendations on subs? How about the new Alpine Type R's...
