'01 Alero - how to wire rear deck speakers?

Did you pay attention to the wires before you cut them? The stock speaker is bi-amped, it has separate wires for the tweeter and woofer. Left: Tweeter +: Red Tweeter -: Purple Woofer +: Blue/White Woofer -: Green Right: Tweeter +: White/Cream Tweeter -: Yellow Woofer +: Green Woofer...

High powered car audio = hp

Your car may be making 140 hp, but is that at the wheels or crank? There's about a 40% loss with an automatic transmission and other factors, so a 2 hp loss at the crank is negligible at the wheels for most purposes including gas mileage.

    Tinting moonroof?

Many tinters will lightly sand the dot matrix down, and lay the tint. In a week or two you'll take it back and they'll get it stuck again once the glue has cured a bit more and is stickier.

how much volume can polyfil account for?

You can buy it from fabric stores. Another method would be to buy some pillows with poly filling from Wal-Mart if they're cheap and rip them open.

How to paint a hood? Everything...

For basecoat you'll want the basecoat itself, reducer, and hardener. For primer a siphon feed gun works fine, but for the paint gun I'd suggest a gravity feed, preferable HVLP, you can buy a kit with it for like $70-90 bucks at Unclaimed Freight or auto parts stores. It's not high quality but...

    89 Corolla

Wow that's clean for a 20 year old car, the old owner definitely took good care of it. Looks like other than the AC comp it's all maintenance, great buy.

    Think this is possible?

The 4t65 should fit then, but I'd recommend using the 4t65-HD used on GTPs and SSEIs. You'll need to get a reflashed computer, but I don't know of W-Body computer systems, sorry. Checking online, found a GM site that said the L47 (Aurora) used a 4t80. Try the W-Body forums...

    Think this is possible?

Unless money isn't an option, you'd be better off getting a new 3.5 to fit in there, no mounts to make or custom shafts to machine. Are you just trying to get the Northstar in for a performance factor? You could turbo it, doubt there's any superchargers available since it wasn't a traditional...

    Will a 5x114.3 fit a 5x115?

^Us N-body guys sometimes do the same. A hubcentric ring seems to do the trick for most, but some have experienced front end vibration after the rings are installed. Though these days it's getting easier to find 5x115 wheels.

    I'm Back

I know I'm not remembered by anyone, I had no significant posts and basically didn't exist on here. If you don't care, that's fine, this is the new member introduction area and that's what I am.

    I'm Back

I know I have a few posts from a while back, but I might as well be a new member, my old posts were like 4 years ago when I knew nothing, and I was thinking of finally becoming active on this site. Nobody remembers or even knew of me and I know that, I was a speck of dust on the sub basically...

Haven't been on this site other than classifieds forever...I might be down for a Metro meet, it'd have to be a weekend this summer because it looks like I'll be working first shift.

    Starting Up

Volonau, thank you so much. Ir, I talked to a mechanic friend of mine today and he nearly died laughin when I told him about the starter and your suggestion of a bad egr. He told me to try the fuel filter, and if that doesn't work I may need to check out the fuel pump. The car runs fine, it...

THE OFFICAL 911 was a inside job thread

Wait, fancy, isn't this also a "little internet talk group"? Seems to me that nobody is taking you seriously. I never gave thought to a cover-up, but they do have more cites than you do. There's plenty of facts at forums, try the Snopes forum for instance.
