i just went out and tapped the deck itself, and noticed that it skips everytime i tap it. Ughhhh so to me it seems like it may have taken a beating during shipping, i don't know what i should do

what do you guys mean by mounting it securely? i just cleaned it with a lens cleaner cd, and it still skips.

how can i secure it though, i'm not sure i'm understanding this. Also, is there some kind of anti-skip thing on there anywhere? I just went for a drive and it skips everything, i had to turn it off actually because it was getting on my nerves, lol

well, i'm gonna do whatever i can to try to figure out the problem before taking it back first. I adjusted the amp gains and it still skips. So your saying that my amp gains could be to high? If that is a possible problem, then i will try setting them a little lower

i have never had problems with skipping on either of my previous head units. This is new to me. what do you mean, where it is mounting?

my crossovers are at 80, both of them! At a 12 db slope and what do you mean it depends on the car it is in? I have to leave for a while in few minutes, but i will be back on later. Thanks for the help so far

i guess i will have to take it back if it continues this, because skips alot!!!! But it only skips on tracks with alot of bass? Come on, that just seems stupid, but its true.

this is strange, the amps are not going into protect, and whether it is a burned cd, or a normal one, it still skips cd's with alot of bass in them. It does it on average of about every 5-7 seconds. Anyone know why this could be happening? Brand new deck by the way
