Alpine 9887 skips on all songs with alot of bass

i don't get what you guys are saying, it skips when i tap it, my cheap pioneer didn't even do that. If i send this back and get a new one and it does the same thing i will be so pissed. Why does the unit have to be so secured, if that is what you are saying? My pioneer did just fine

edit: I'm just gonna take it back because everyone seems to think it is defective

if it does it just from tapping, something isnt right, as long as your not like stiff arming the thing when testing it

that's what i'm saying, maybe the laser is loose or something, fed ex always sucks at delivering stuff. I blame them, lol

its obvious if it skips with you tappin on it,it needs to be replaced.usually alpine's dont do this,especially running only a 80hz setting

im still using a 9825, and mine dont skip. only if there is a flaw with the disc itself, and that is usually a major one. pretty much plays through anything
