it could have just tweeked for a second. i have never had good luck with jvc units so that could be a cause. if it doesnt do it again dont worry about it. if it does and could be a loose wire or something in the HU went bad/loose.

im thinking u have a pioneer deck... if so your rca outputs blew the fuse on the board inside the deck. u have to get the deck repaired if that is the case

he most likely has a ford 98up. so just ground that wire out with your decks ground.

get an aftermarket deck with atleast 4v preouts

if the amplified output is broken then how are you getting volume at all? you cant use the preamp outputs unless your are using an amp. also you need to bypass the factory fader switch

most sub amps only require a single rca input if they are running mono. so u can use y splitters off of the sub out and run those to the 4 amps. since most decks are a dual mono output

first off what kind of car do you have? if it is a newer car it most likely has an immbolizer built into the key. that shuts off the fuel pump if it does not get the correct code. so its kinda like a starter kill. a glass break sensor could be tied into your door triggers to set off the factory...

if you look at the new AX901 made by audiovox it resembles everything about the viper 791... and if you open it up it will say dei somewhere in it. its just for the new audiovox alarms right now cause i dont think prestige has released a new alarm yet

I have not installed the compustar yet but i have heard that it is one of the best alarms out. and since they are there own company and dont make 15 other types of alarms i would say they are probably alittle better. With DEI they make tons of alarms. IE python, clifford, Viper and NOW...
