Newb to car audio equalizer q's

No to music, yes to pink noise... And I've been RTA'd and flattened to +/- 3 dB and I rarely need to touch the EQ when playing CD's of different types of music. What I do adjust for is road noise which varies with speed and whether or not my top is down.

    Crx with system

Little hatchbacks are great. I love how my little sub in a sealed box can fill up the whole car in ways that weren't possible in my MR-Spyder or in my friends' SUV's

    What can power what???

I don't think he wanted to show you that it was possible. I think he wanted to show you that it was easy And sorry if all the technical stuff was hard to understand. There's no need to get frustrated with the big words...just sound them out

    What can power what???

Let's focus this time. Start out with one sub and front comps and say you got lucky and ended up with a flat response curve up to 110 dB across the audible frequency spectrum with the comps covering 100 Hz on up and the sub covering 100 Hz on down. Now here's the tricky part: If you added a...

    What can power what???

That's funny...if I were you, I'd feel stupid about pretending to know about things that I really didn't

    What can power what???

Okay, well I guess I can see why it might be hard for you to run a 4-channel amp

    What can power what???

    What does "handling power" mean?

    What can power what???

Well if you wanna take it that far...no, you can't power 5 speaker systems off a 4-channel amp (without using the rear channels of the deck for the rears) Now, regarding that 600-watt subwoofer, what does that 600 mean? That's how much power it can handle--not how much it needs So let's say...

Why won't my Blaupunkt San Jose work? (Long, a little complicated)

Excellent...there was a fuse blown in the fuse box under the hood...I replaced it and the deck worked But now, my front speakers don't work So I guess there's lots more checking for me to do

Is there a big construction difference between MDF and Plywood?

If I recall, best to worst... Sound goes: Plywood => Particle => MDF Price goes: Particle => MDF => Plywood Durability/looks goes: MDF => Plywood => Particle

Why won't my Blaupunkt San Jose work? (Long, a little complicated)

Alright, bought an Xtreme Sound deck from Walmart and it didn't work...so looks like it's my car Any ideas on where to start?

Why won't my Blaupunkt San Jose work? (Long, a little complicated)

Heh heh...yeah, it's just really frustrating though...it's like I've checked all the wires like 10 times and it still doesn't work I just wonder if there could be something else that I'm doing wrong besides the wiring...

Why won't my Blaupunkt San Jose work? (Long, a little complicated)

Yeah, I might try that... Alternatively, I was thinking of getting a $5 Jensen deck from Walmart and seeing if that works...and then either returning it...or plugging it into a wall socket
