Hey guys, I just bought 2 type R 12" 2006 models. I searched the Alpine site and the manual says 1.7 cu/ft vented is optimum for each sub...does this sound right? Whats the best vented box for these subs? Size? Hz tuned? How much space do each sub take up?

well Ive had the mag for over 2 years now and 1 of the coils are blown. For me to get it repaired, I can buy 2 new brand new subs for the same price.

Does anyone know how to turn the LED's off on the hifonics amps that light up the logo on the front? I want to mount them in the trunk without then screaming STEAL ME at night. Anyone know if I can just open it up and snip some wires?

I hear you on that. The reason I ask is I have a audio meet saturday and I want some sort of bass to go to it with. Am I running a risk of blowing my amp if I run it for that day?

I got a 15" SI mag and one of the coils are blown. It still hits hard but around 20 you can tell its blown. It doesnt sound too bad, just sounds like there is a decent hole with an air leak. At 28 volume you cant tell its blown at all. (One of the coils is blown, I got it tested) Now I am...

I was reading about guys putting the RE XXX in the snail shell boxes and they wang out real nice. Can anyone design these kind of boxes for the SI d2 or has tryed it before and can say how it sounded? How much better are these snail shells compared to regular ported?

Well right now I have a box for my 15" SI Mag that is 28 hz at 4 cu/ft (site specs) I want a more tighter bass that wont be so boomy. I was thinking about making a box that is 2.5 cu/ft ported to 35 hz. What do you think? Also can anyone design me a box if I paid them money?
