i had it in a 2. cu box at 32hz and it sounded like ass. unless someone has some tl scores or a video i think ill keep this one. and i really put a lot into this box unlike my last one. the final for that was 1.59 cu @ 35hz (before sub displacement) also, im not giving it the full 1000 rms...

get a piece of sheet metal and bend it to fit. if you can weld it.

got the new wires in today. maybe ill get the box built saturday or something. actually, its in a 2.0 cu box right now and it sounds like ****. Pioneer recommends 1.3 CU for a ported enclosure 1.5 is accounting for sub displacement

Got my wires tonight while I was at work. I got them ready to drop in tomorrow. but one of my coolant lines has a hole so ive got to fix that tomorrow too.

you check the voltage at the amp?

mine does the same thing, but im running insifficent wiring. im going to run bigger wires and see what happens. and it wouldnt hurt to use bigger speaker wire.

if you can easily take off the alt take it to autozone and have them test it.

i saw the free designs but im sure theres got to be something more efficient or better for my sub

this box is about 32" long ,14" deep, and 14" tall. its a pretty big trunk.

I just got a pioneer TS-W3001D4 and it calls for 1.3 after sub displacement, so about 1.5 before displacement for ported boxes. I just want a good sounding box for rock music with lots of fast punchy beats. this will be in a car with a trunk. im open to all suggestions, port up, side, however...
