If any fuses werre blown, then would there not be any power getting to the amp? The amp still lights up (the alpine blue)

    Subs just cut out

Hey all, I'm cruising along and my subs just stop working. I checked the amp, it has power I checked the speaker wire. Looks to be all connected. What else can I check? The mids work great and I have not touched anything. You help and insight is appreciated.

    Boston Pro Midbass seperation/unglued

So nobody can tell me if I can reglue/fix these speakers? I have read that a waterbased latex glue is what I should use. Is that correct? Please help. Expensive speakers going to waste and sound crappy!!!!!

    Boston Pro Midbass seperation/unglued

Hey guys, It looks like the 6.5" mids are sepearting from the metal and making a crappy flapping sound at higher levels. It looks like a clean seperation and the glue (or whatever they use) has let go of the cone. What can I use (if anything) to reglue them?

    Install ???

Hey all, Just curious if any of you have come across those new type of connectors that are in new vehicles. At least my 08 truck has them. They are a plug in connector from the door, rubber boot to inside the vehicle. Basically a plug that connects to the cab of the truck to run wires in to the...

    OK - Now I'm Pi$$ed

Thanks for the reply. I got pissed because I was planning on it and I thought I was getting the correct information from a professional person at Alpine. That is it. If works bridged, I am happy, if it does not, then I either go with the 150 or find new speakers. Not sure why you have to insult...

    OK - Now I'm Pi$$ed

The specs are 2 and 4 ohm stable un-bridged but 4 ohms stable bridged. The tech was unsure of 3 ohms bridged as it was never tested at that load

    OK - Now I'm Pi$$ed

Yes, 150 per side Yes, they can be bi-amped but still only 150 wrms per side. Not sure how much of a diffenrece it would make. Lets hope so

    OK - Now I'm Pi$$ed

Several months ago, I bought all the stuff in my sig. I am not a newbie with car audio but I am by far an expert. I bought the BA Pro 60's not realizing that they are rated at 3 ohms. Once I decided to bridge my PDX.4-150 amp to give them a nice warm 300 wrms, I called Alpine Tech Support to ask...

Search with no luck - Gain Question

Thanks for the reply. I know, it is confusing. Just to be even more confusing, the PDX amps are rated the same for both 2 ohms and 4 ohms. Both are 300 watts rms per channel bridged.

Search with no luck - Gain Question

I guess, I am asking in my OP, what factors do you use in getting the voltage to set your gains. Do you take what you are sending from the amp, in this case 300 wrms (Bridged)and the speaker impendance, in this case 3 ohms and square root them to get 30 volts? or what? Also the other part...

Search with no luck - Gain Question

I called Alpine support and they said it will run anything between 2-4 ohms bridged. 300 wrms is twice as much power as 150 wrms. Why would you suggest using only the 150 wrms instead of bridging it? It makes no sense to me

Search with no luck - Gain Question

Here is my question I have a set of BA Pro 60's rated at 125 wrms @ 3 ohms I have a Alpine PDX.4-150 which will be bridge 300 wrms @ 4 ohms (Stable @ 3 oms) What should my voltage target be on my DMM (125 rms speakers x 3 ohms) sqr = 19.37 (300 rms amp x 3 ohms) sqr = 30 (125 rms speaker x...
