GM trannies in the fwd cars arent the best anyhow. For the o2 sensor... try a torch, just heat it up until its red hot, let it cool for a second and while its shrinking it should come right out. If the trannie is shuttering... how much fluid does it have? your clutches could be going bad.

Mmm, 15 volts with everything? that isnt too good.... 14.4 is optimal for stock wiring and stock electrical components. If your getting more than 15 your regulator might be crapped out. Unless you purposly have a 16/18 volt reg?

The only difference I can think of off the top of my head is the FI could be serp belt while the carb is a v-belt? Not sure just a stab at it.

On our lumina... there a connection under the dash where you can put a wire between 2 points. It will flash the check engine light. This is the diagnostic code, you count the flash's then cross reference that to a book and it shows a problem. I dont know if that new of a car has them though.

Mmmm.... 900 hp with a 4-71??? My 69 RS/SS has a 10-71 and is only pushing ~ 650 with 8 lbs boost. For 900 HP out of a small block it would take a 10-71 at least with crazy boost (12+)

You can use wood even to raise the seats up. I have a set of Jegs high back racing buckets in my '72 Chevy truck. I use 2" sqaure tubing to raise them, welded me a peice of uni-strut onto the bottom of the cab floor (outside) and bolted them down. Wood wont be the safest thing... but it WILL...
