    SQL: Does it exist?

If you compete in MECA, you can compete in either.... or or both. So when I hear the acronym "SQL", this is what I think of. Though some interpret it differently.

    MECA World Finals - Next weekend 8th & 9th

It was like that Sat morning, so I believe someone other than a MECA participant did that. I sure hope so anyway, that was beyond disgusting.

    SQ Competition

The best thing you can do is read the rule books for whatever sanctioning body (IASCA, MECA, USACi, etc) you're planning to compete in. They have pretty clear rules for what they listen for when judging for SQ competitions. I just started competing in IASCA in September in the SQC 1 seat class...

Southeast Region motor sport nationals- ROLL CALL

For a show that was thrown together last minute after the NOPI cancellation, they pulled it off well overall. While it was lacking in the vendors and sheer number of vehicles, it made up for it being indoors (and outdoors) with some really nice vehicles inside. It was also my first foray into...

    Single DIN DVD Head Units

Because it's now there flagship HU. It's a tuner only so less chance of introducing noise from internal amplifiers. It is/was as close to having the quality of the F#1 HU without the sticker price of the DVI-9990:eek: (you think the 9965 is expensive). It has a built-in HD Radio tuner as well...

JL 13w6v2 vs RE SE 15"

Happy Birthday....tomorrow that is! September's a good month for b-days if I do say so myself.

JL 13w6v2 vs RE SE 15"

You're 18 years old. I'm not sure you're the best judge of how loud subs were in the 80's. But I digress. Run either sub, they will both sound good. For my money, sponsorship loyalty, previous reliability, sound quality, and a dozen other more reasons I went with the JL sub. YMMV

JL 13w6v2 vs RE SE 15"

I don't disagree with that. It's just that when go with a bigger sub, they become less efficient without additional power. Add to that the recovery time from the cone and you can introduce distortion more easily. Today's subwoofers aren't very efficient, I came from the heydays of car audio in...

JL 13w6v2 vs RE SE 15"

I have a JL 13w6v2 in a sealed cabinet, downfiring in the club cab of my truck. It is powered by a 500/1v2 amp. This is absolutely a wonderful SQ setup, as is most subs in the W6v2 line up from JL. I have no experience with the RE sub. But I can't imagine a 15" sub being a better choice for SQ...
