For fu** sake, how many times have I recently asked ANYONE to provide proof that OFC power cable sounds better than ETP?
What do I get? "non-OFC corrodes in a car environment".

WTF do you weirdos do with your cars? I have a 21 year old GMC truck that has the original wiring throughout. This will sound crazy, but it still starts, and runs, and all the electrical stuff works fine.
It hasn't all corroded into complete unusability in that time.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

I have a 1978 Chevy that's all OG and runs like a top still and I live on the bay so I don't know where you are going with this but whatever..

The only power wire I ever had turn green was some bull$hit "tinned" ofc everyone sells these days..
I stick with welding cable, Made in the U.S., cheaper than branded car audio wire, and I've had zero issues..

Corrosion can be a problem, I've seen copper turn green many times, Have you not seen a green penny or copper pipes in a house turn green?
I've also seen Sky High OFC turn green..
I've also had Street wirez tinned copper turn chalky on me..

There is different grades and purities of copper to you know...

I bet the copper is better quality in my 78 than some Skar speaker wire made in 2026...

Welding cable is typically high quality copper, ETP copper. It is not made for car audio but people use it for car audio because it can typically be had cheaper than OFC of the same size. We all know, Rob, that it is not made for car audio because its name says WELDING CABLE. Frugal minds will use it. My 1/0 orange power cable is WELDING CABLE. Still pure copper and not CCA.

Still.... show any of us the claim made by us having anything to do with sounding better.

When the judge issued his opinion that Trump had graped EJ in a civil liability case, that made Trump a convicted grapist. Technically he was found liable of zexual abuse and liability isn't based on "beyond a reasonable doubt" and zexual abuse, which isn't grape. It's interesting that the judge felt it was necessary to clarify that Trump graped EJC, even though it lends nothing to the rational behind the outcome of the case.

Ultimately, what this comes down to is Google vs Always Right Rob. Google is infamous for spitting out BS. OTOH, Rob has never been wrong, so there's your answer.

Depends on price. If the CCA is twice as thick but 30% cheaper than the OFC and can handle more current than I'll need?
